The dichotomy between the Marines reception of George W. Bush after nearly seven years of war and Barack Obama after one month in office is amazing. Two words excited these Marines, and they are two words that excite every Marine--Semper Fi. Other than that, these Marines seemed cold to their new Commander and Chief. I can't say that I blame them.
Please watch both videos:
These Marines have sworn to protect the Constitution of the United States first and before carrying out the orders of the President of the United States. I think we know whose side they are on.

WOW that is a stark difference! I love this post and its obvious contrast...Bush did a lot of behind the scenes stuff for the military that went unnoticed or unpublicized that I think is a reason for his constant enthusiastic response from them. Great post! :)N
Wow....
that is amazing.
Absolutely incredible. The military are not stupid, they can see a phony blowing smoke. I am surprised they did not have acorn Nazis in there threatening the service people to act like they respected him. I suppose they will once barry gives our assault rifles to his civilian force which is going to be funded as well as the military. He said that not me.
wow
that is all i can say
kw
Of course the Marines didnt play ball like the latest knuckleheads in the Army that were pre-screened.
USA!
Right off the bat I notice that the marines in the Bush video are at ease and in a much less formal atmosphere. The Obama video has everyone at apparent attention and more formal with the playing of Hail To The Chief. One doesn't applaud and shout when at attention. One stands quietly at attention until placed at ease.
Of course, I wasn't there nor seen the entire video of the events. Just giving my off the cuff impression.
The second video appears edited, doctored, or fussed with somehow- certainly the middle is missing. Not that it's inaccurate, but it doesn't give the feel of an actual straight film.
Obviously the soldiers were given different instructions before either Presidents.
The troops knows Barry is anti-troop. The military will side with the people. This is why he has the "green shirts".
The people know he is anti-troop. Read Leatherneck! The camp Le Jeune was an embarrassment.
