New Gallup Poll Shows Obama is Coming Back Down to Earth

Obama fell nearly 10 points to 59% in his first month, which makes Obama's first-month approval rating worst than George W. Bush's first-month approval rating (62%). George W. Bush had the controversy of the election holding him back. What's Obama's excuse? No doubt the White House is in damage control. Obama's disapproval rating is raising faster at nearly a nearly 13 point increase. Traditionally, the President's first month has been more forgiving, and considering disapproval for the stimulus package, these numbers may be inflated.

  1. That's the best news I've heard all day. Maybe now people will realize what an injustice was given to Bush.

  3. If that makes you feel better. He's still falling fast, and this poll was obviously the last poll you saw. It's even dated today.

  4. There's no way Obama's numbers can stay as high as they are. It's going to be a rocky ride to the bottom.
