Meghan McCain Silently Disses Sarah Palin

Meghan McCain was recently interviewed by Monday Morning Clacker. During the interview she was asked about Sarah Palin. McCain answered, "Sarah Palin is the only part of the campaign that I won't comment on publicly."

Did I watch a totally different election go down? Don't get upset with me, but I didn't even plan to vote until Palin made the ticket. After many years of being kicked in the conservative butt by John McCain, I couldn't stand the thought of pulling the lever for him. Many Republicans feel the same way. Now our feelings on why John McCain disgusts many of us are affirmed.

Meghan McCain, did you not pay attention to your lethargic father kill his campaign during the debates? Every question asked was answered earmarks. Then he thought he would give away the farm, proposing the government would buy up all the bad mortgages. I was embarrassed to tell people I supported McCain after those debates. Yet, Meghan McCain wants to allude silently that Palin killed the campaign. I understand he's your father Meghan, but at some point you must realize your father couldn't handle the pressures of a national campaign and showed little leadership to excite the base.

Palin debated with confidence, unlike your father, Meghan. For a few weeks on the national stage, she obviously understood the questions enough to answer them beyond earmarks. Palin understood the energy issues, while your father, Meghan, bought into Al Gore's global warming lies. We should drill in ANWAR--Palin was right. Once again, John McCain sold us out to bad science.

Before your next haughty answer about Sarah Palin, maybe you should think about the miserable campaign your father ran. Perhaps, you should go back to the town hall meeting in which he should have kicked Obama's butt, and allowed Obama to walk all over him. John McCain was a pathetic candidate. He may be a war hero, and I respect him for that, but he is the walking politically dead. You should be ashamed of yourself Meghan McCain. Your dad would have fared far worse if it had not been for Sarah Palin. If Republicans continue down McCain's path, I will continue to distance myself from Republicans. (By the way, the Republicans sure haven't impressed me during these nomination hearings.)

Bravo, Clay! I couldn't agree more with you on all of this. I felt the same way about McCain and was very reluctant to vote for him. I would have, only because it was a vote against Barry. But then the day Palin was announced, I finally got excited about the campaign. I actually feel like I voted for her, not McCain. His campaign was a huge disappointment. He made so many errors, it was painful. As for Meghan, she never impressed me either.
