Always Post Your Blog Before Rush Limbaugh Comes On

Everyday I blog, a lesson is reinforced. Post your blogs before Rush Limbaugh. As a student of The Limbaugh Institute of Conservative Study, I notice my blogs often are a precursor to what Rush will say during his show. Although, I don't claim the excellence or even come close to Rush, I often hit things dead on before Rush has a chance to say it at 12:00 EST.

I had a meeting earlier today. Rush was on when I left the meeting. As I drove back to my office, he was saying something similar to what I just blogged. I panicked. When was it scheduled to post. 12:30 EST? Gotta check it when I get back to the office. Don't want to be accused of listening to Limbaugh and typing it out as he speaks. Whew, it posted thirty minutes before Rush. Back to work!

My older brother worked for President Reagan.
We haven't had a true two party system since he left office. I can't tell the lying Democrats from the lying Republicans.

  2. I agree with you about the Republicans; although, their resurgance in 94 showed hope. I am not sure what tha has to do with Limbaugh though. He's not thrilled with the current bunch of Republicans either. For me, it's the lessor of two evils hoping another Reagan will emerge.

  3. LOL! I've had that happen too, Clay! I'm also a Limbaugh fan, which probably doesn't come as too much of a surprise.

  4. I agree with you on the posting times. If I am not posted by 8:00am Central, I hold off until the next day. Anything in between MIGHT get Twitter'd.

  5. I am going to have to figure out this Twitter thing. I can't believe how far behind I have gotten with technology. It's my job to keep up with it, but one day, I just gave up. Now I pay the price.

  6. LOL, Clay, I just commented back in your Chicago schools cappuccino machines post that after I read your post the other night, I was in my car the next day (Thursday) and I heard Rush cover that story. I chuckled to myself as I thought "Hey, I already know that, because CLAY covered that on his blog!". So, you beat Rush by about 12 hours or more on that one!

  7. It's almost funny. I sometimes feel like Skinner's mice, but I know I long believed in these conservative values before I knew who Rush Libaugh was.

In elementary school, one of my good friend's father ran for lieutenent governor of Missouri when we were in third grade. He lost that election, but four years later one the Secretary of State position in Missouri. My buddy Matt moved off to Jeff City that year, and a few months later we rode our bicycles to Jeff City from Springfield to see him. Our buddy is not the governor of Missouri for a few more days, and I am sure you have heard of his dad, Roy Blunt.

My friends and me were always political, and I have studied politics for nearly twenty years. I remember when Rush was on 60 Minutes in 1990 or so. I was thinking right on. I had never listed to his show. Talk radio wasn't cool for a college freshman who was in to hair metal.

I was in poly sci 101 that semester, and the Thomas Jeffersonian bowtie wearing liberal always allowed us a question of the day. At the end of class, we turned in an anonymous question in a hat at the front of the class. The kid sitting next to me asked him his opinion of Rush Limbaugh.

The next class period he read the question. The kid sitting next to me, slouched a bit in his seat and whispered that's my question. Cool, I was sitting next to a conservative. The rest of the semester we had so much fun with the question of the day that he stopped it in fear it was becoming too conservative plus we took it too far. He did read my question about Clarence Thomas which read, don't you feel the democrats fear that one of the most powerful black man in the United States is a conservative and that's why they are against Thomas? He answered the question with a no and moved on quickly.

Because he decided to read the question and blow it off, we gave him hell throughout the rest of the semester. Questions like don't you think Homer Simpson has a better chance of being elected over any Democrat in the next election? Of course we know now, Democrats spread fear of the economy and they love recessions to gain power. Of course Democrats never talk about recessions when they are in power. Few people remember the Clinton recession.

  8. Ha ha, great story about the college days, Clay! I love how you guys busted the liberal professor!

Hmm, that's interesting that you're an old childhood friend of Missouri Governor Matt Blunt's! I guess you weren't thrilled with his decision not to seek re-election in 2008? How do you feel about the incoming Democrat Governor?

  9. I was sad to see him not run. He did a lot for the state, and he was underappreciated. Now we have his arch nemesis as governor. I don't like Jay Nixon at all. Democrats have not been good for this state.

Sorry about the captcha. I hate them just like you, but the spambots have gotten ridiculous.
